St. Sophia Church,Harbin

Saint Sophis Cathedral in Harbin (圣索非亚大教堂,Софийский собор в Харбине) is a former Russian Orthodox church located in the central district of Daoli, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, China. It was built in 1932 and, during the Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution period, was closed, and recently was turned into a museum, showcasing the multi-cultural architecture of Harbin.

According to the tour guide,Harbin today is still very much influenced by its Russian past.Therefore,the city is well-known for its unique, Russian and European-influenced architecture.Beside,the combination of cultures(Han cultures & Russian cultures) influences the local architecture style, food and customs.
